According to the report entitled A Toda Costa 2019, prepared by Greenpeace in collaboration with the Sustainability Observatory, 22.2% of the natural habitats that the Spanish coast has are located outside natural protections. This makes many builders decide to buy land in very close areas or just in front of the beaches.

Among the large number of existing beaches that are under the threat of pollution, we highlight the first five, which are:
The Greenpeace report emphasizes that it is of great importance that a greater effort be devoted to biodiversity protection policies. In addition, it emphasizes the urgency that various actions need to be carried out on the coast for its protection.
