Every July 28 the international day against hepatitis is commemorated. This day attempts to raise awareness of a disease that ends every year with the dreams of many families around the world.

From TOLDOS GUARDAMAR we also want to echo today this disease that, especially in underdeveloped countries where access to water and decent healthcare is difficult, ends millions of lives every year.

There are 5 types of hepatitis and we will tell you today how to prevent its spread.

GUIDELINES TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF HEPATITIS

  • Professional tattoo artist is always the best option. That’s right, with the current fashion of tattooing the body, cases of hepatitis increase because of these centers.

A professional tattoo artist will comply with all the necessary hygienic measures to prevent needles or other utensils from passing from one body to another without the correct disinfection.

  • Get vaccinated. Prevention is better than cure, especially at childhood ages. For hepatitis A and B there are vaccines.

Access to vaccines in the third world is difficult on many occasions and large non-governmental organizations do an extraordinary job to bring these vaccines to those places.

  • Drink only water with optimal sanitary quality. Water in poor condition or without minimum health conditions is one of the causes of most hepatitis in the third world.
  • Safe sex. In case of having sporadic sexual relations with different people, the use of condoms is the most effective way to prevent hepatitis B.
  • Annual medical review. An annual medical check-up with the subsequent blood tests will make detection early and fight more effective.

From TOLDOS GUARDAMAR we stand in solidarity with the families who have suffered a loss from this disease, and with those who are currently fighting against it. Optimism and green thinking always help to overcome these difficult times.
