November 10. World Science Day for Peace and Development.

As every year on November 10 we celebrate the World Day of Science for Peace and Development. Proclaimed in 2002 by Unesco to give presence and commemorate science as a tool created by humans both to understand the world around us and to apply the knowledge acquired for the benefit of humanity and the planet on which we live. This day is promoted by achieving a science that prevails for a sustainable future to face the new economic, social and environmental challenges in peace. World Day also aims to raise public awareness of the importance of science and bridge the gap between science and society.

This 2021 the theme chosen to celebrate World Science Day for Peace and Development is to promote the construction of communities prepared for climate change, for this UNESCO has prepared an online event in which you can discover the solutions that science offers us to adapt our communities to climate change.
