All creatures that inhabit planet earth deserve to live with dignity, freedom and justice, and this includes, of course, the people and animals that live there. Under this precept, the United Nations Organization, in the assembly held on December 10, 1948, adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) as a historical pact that frames the fundamental rights of the human being.

According to this declaration, human beings have individual, collective and non-transferable rights that cannot be eliminated or undermined, since they would affect their life and integrity. So, we can affirm that human rights represent a legal base on which the political, social and cultural evolution of a country must be based.

Among the main rights enshrined in the declaration we can highlight the following:

  • Equality
  • Integrity
  • Freedom of expression
  • Freedom of conscience
  • Freedom of transit
  • Justice
  • Identity
  • Education
  • Health
  • Living place
  • Food
  • Work
  • Social Security

On the other hand, hundreds of organizations and institutions around the world have decided to celebrate December 10 as the International Day for Animal Rights, and, although it is true, it has not been decreed as an official date by Part of the UN, people take this day very seriously to claim the inalienable rights of animals in general.

This demand had its beginnings in September 1977, during a meeting held in London by the International League for Animal Rights. There, the first steps were taken so that on October 15, 1978, the Universal Declaration of Animal Rights was proclaimed by UNESCO.

Since then, the planet has become more aware of the need to protect the earth’s biological diversity as a legacy for future generations.

For all this,, and much more, at Toldos Guardamar, all pets are welcome, because we always receive the most unconditional love from them.

Thus, we want to end with this phrase that we love and that could not be more right: “I had friends who didn’t speak my language but who understood me better than anyone. Then I knew that we are the ones who do not understand anything. “Seres de otro mundo”- Joseph Kapone.
