  1. Drink water and fluids frequently, although you are not feeling thirsty and regardless of the physical activity you carry out.
  2. Do not abuse of drinks with caffeine, alcohol or large amounts of sugar, since they can cause you to lose more body fluid.
  3. Although anyone can get a heat-related problem, pay special attention to babies and small children, elderly and people with diseases that may get worse with heat and dehydration, as cardiac pathologies.
  4. Try to be as much as possible in cool, shady or air-conditioned places, and refresh whenever you need it.
  5. Try to reduce physical activity and avoid making outdoor sports in the hottest times of the day (from 12.00 to 17.00).
  6. Wear light, loose-fitting clothing which allows you to perspire.
  7. Never leave anyone in a vehicle parked and shut down (especially children, elderly or chronically ill people).
  8. Talk to your doctor about any symptoms that may take longer than one hour and which may be related to high temperatures.
  9. Keep your medicine in a cool place; the heat can alter its composition and its effects.
  10. Take snacks which help you replace the salts of your body lost by the sweat (salads, fruits, vegetables, juices, etc.)
