When you have an awning, you have a responsibility. Although quality awnings, such as Toldos Guardamar, are manufactured to last a long time and withstand many conditions, we must take care of our awning so that it has a longer operational life and we can take advantage of its advantages for as long as possible.
Did you know that dirt, in addition to making its appearance ugly, can negatively influence its operation? If we do not want this to happen, we must clean it periodically whenever possible. It does not mean that we have to clean it every day, but it is advisable to do it once a month during the period in which we are using it and at the beginning and end of the season when we have it in our summer house.
Warm water with neutral soap would be what Toldos Guardamar recommends to remove stains that your awning may have. We should never use chemical or abrasive products because it could damage the awning fabric, by damaging the “safe & clean” layer that it has and that gives it more resistance to dirt.
After cleaning, do not pick it up until it is dry. Otherwise, we will be favoring the appearance of mold. The same thing happens when it is going to rain. It is best to roll it up before it starts or when the season of the year is less favorable to good weather.
If we talk about care and maintenance, we must also periodically check its operation. We must check that the arms are well leveled and greased at all times, that the canvas is not deformed, that it does not make strange noises, or any other aspect that is not consistent with the proper functioning of the awning. In this way we will achieve a longer duration in the useful life of our awning.
Do not forget that in Toldos Guardamar we have professionals with forty years of experience who will help you whenever you need it.
