Our answer is that the awnings are an effective solar protection system, which well designed can protect to a certain extent from the rain, provided that it is executed with the technical quality and the appropriate materials.
Thanks to the work of our I+D+I department, and after years of study, we have achieved that some of our products can have a degree of tightness of up to 85%, but never 100%, and not even the bioclimatic pergola, a retractable closing system, can assure a complete isolation against the inclemencies of the weather.
WE RECOMMEND:
The awning is not for water even if its canvas is PVC.
So:
1- When it’s raining close your awning.
2- If your awning is wet, deply it after the rain until the canvas is dry.
3- You must close the awning when the wind is stronger than recommended.
4- If you are leaving your home, leave your awning closed.
5- Check your awning every year.
