How to avoid consuming CO²

Esta entrada también está disponible en: esSpanish

The excessive carbon dioxide emissions produced by many industries have made the well-known and feared CO² one of the causes of climate change. Consuming less CO² can help all of us to stop the advance of climate change and make new generations have a planet like the one we knew.

How to consume less CO²?

Renewable energy is one of our strongest allies against climate change since it does not emit CO². Therefore, whenever possible, we must use this kind of energy: solar, wind, biomass, etc. If this is not possible, it can be complemented with efficient consumption to reduce energy expenditure, which will generate less gas emissions.

The use of public transport is very advisable, since it is affordable, safe, fast and also pollutes very little or nothing, since many vehicles are electric, work with methane or highly efficient engines. Another option is to walk or use the bicycle; we will not only be contributing to reducing CO² but we will also be getting fit.

Some of the best allies on the planet for the production of oxygen and reducing CO² are trees, so it never hurts to plant trees. The more trees we raise, it will be much better, especially if you take into account that a single tree can eliminate between 350 kilos and 3.5 tons of CO² in your life.

To consume less CO², we must use the 3 R formula, reduce, reuse and recycle. It is very easy and something we must keep in mind at all times. Use less disposable products, reuse them whenever possible or give them a new life and recycle them. These are some of the main keys that everyone should keep in mind.
